I figure since I had access to the lab, and therefore a laser engraver/cutter, that I'd put together a tea box for Meaghan to use as an organizer (she's a tea fanatic) as her birthday was coming up. I went to hobby lobby and got a cool looking wooden box, mine was around $7. Then I went into illustrator and designed a crest for the top, an inscription, and the labeling for what kind of tea she could put in each section for the bottom, using guidelines as I went. Then I designed a file for the four pieces of wood that would go in the box as dividers and drew in slots so that they could fit inside of each other. The tea labels, I engraved on a piece of mat board just so that she could take the mat board out if she decided to use the box for something else, I also let the dividers stay loose instead of gluing them so she could have that option as well. Here are some pictures of the finished product!
